Quest to Help LDSF Continue its Mission

Hello again Quentin’s Quest followers,

I sincerely thank you all for the help you have given me and the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation (LDSF - loeysdietz.org) over the years. The first part of my Quest raised just over $12,000. My second Quest was the cookbook which was wonderful and is still available to help the LDSF. So again, I thank you for all of your support in helping me help the LDSF.

Well… I guess you probably already know that now I am about to ask for your help again with Quentin’s Quest #3. I believe I have a pretty good idea about how to raise some money. One day I noticed that Alec and Spencer (2 of my brothers) and my mom were going to the bank to turn their containers full of change into cash. Mom has been doing this for awhile now. She would use the money to do something with us boys – movie, out to eat, etc. Every time they came home from the bank they would each have between $50 to $100.

I say it is time for them to put that money towards an awesome cause – “Quentin’s Quest #3”. Do you know how much money we could raise for the LDSF if we all collected our change and told all our friends too also? I think we could easily raise $10,000. So… this is where you come in. I encourage you to collect your change for four months and at the end of November (the time of giving and being thankful) you send us a check made out to the Loeys-Dietz Syndrome Foundation of how much you saved.

I encourage you to bring it to your work place, church, neighbors etc. and ask people to give their change so you can collect as much change as possible. My goal is to reach $10,000. I thought if 100 people collected $100 each then we would have $10,000 dollars. So please help me in the third part of Quentin’s Quest. You do not have to wait until Thanksgiving to send in a check. As you empty the container of change and get a check from the bank (I say bank because mom’s bank has a change machine and they don’t charge you anything to use it) you can go ahead and send it to me and then start filling the container again.

I am currently working on getting my website up to date, so soon you will be able to keep track of how we are doing. Who knows? Maybe I will keep track of what states collect their change – do you think we can get change from all 50 states?

My website is: quentinsquest.org.

Thanks for helping kids like me who have Loeys-Dietz Syndrome. The change you save will help save a life!

Love,
Quentin
